Dr. Riessom Weldegiorgis received a B. Tech degree in Mechanical Design from Defence Engineering College, Ethiopia in 2001, M. Tech degree in Mechanical Design focusing on Missile guidance and control from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, in 2005 and his PhD degree in Active Vibration Control of Wing Structures from National Institute of Technology Karnataka, India in 2015. He is currently director of the Center for Nonlinear Dynamics of Defence University, Ethiopia. His professional activities have been focused in Mechatronic systems design, structural dynamics, nonlinear dynamics and control.

Bio-data
Dr. Fisseha Meresa Alemayehu received his B.Sc. from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia, his M.Sc. from TU Delft, The Netherlands and his Ph.D. from Texas Tech University, USA, all in Mechanical Engineering. He joined the School of Engineering, Computer Science and Mathematics at West Texas A&M University in 2016 as an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering. Previously, he has worked as an Assistant Professor at Penn State University for two years, as a Lecturer at Mekelle University for six years, and as Post-Doctoral Research Associate at Texas Tech University for one year. He was also a visiting scholar for more than two months in the National Wind Technology Center of National Renewable Energy Laboratory, USA. His research areas include Probabilistic Prognostics and Health Management, Reliability of Renewable Energy Systems, Probabilistic Design, Probabilistic Multibody Dynamic Analysis as well as Teaching and Assessment Effectiveness. His research outputs have been presented in international as well as national Conferences and workshops. He has published his research articles in Journal of Mechanical Design, Journal of Computational and Nonlinear Dynamics, Sustainability, International Journal of Mechanical Engineering Education, and in several conference proceedings. He also has worked as an organizing committee member of two international workshops and has published a book as an editor.
