Welcome to the East Africa Journal of Health Sciences (EAJHS).

EAJHS is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing knowledge in health sciences. We encourage authors to carefully read the following information before submitting manuscripts.

1. Journal Scope and Article Types

The journal publishes original research articles, review papers, case reports, and short communications in all areas of health sciences, including clinical, public health, biomedical, and interdisciplinary studies. Please review the About the Journal page for detailed section policies.

2. Submission Process

  • Authors must register with the journal before submitting.
  • If already registered, log in to begin the five-step submission process: submission, uploading files, entering metadata, suggesting reviewers (if required), and final review.
  • Ensure your manuscript complies with the Author Guidelines, including formatting, references, and supplementary materials.

3. Manuscript Preparation

  • Submit manuscripts in Word (.docx), PDF, or LaTeX formats.
  • Include a structured abstract (150–250 words) and 3–6 keywords.
  • Figures and tables should be included in the manuscript and properly labeled.
  • Follow the journal’s reference style as outlined in the Author Guidelines.

4. Licensing and Open Access

  • All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License.
  • This license allows anyone to copy, redistribute, remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially, provided that the original author(s) and the journal are properly credited.
  • There are no subscription charges or access fees.

5. Ethical Guidelines

  • Authors must ensure the originality of their work and proper authorship attribution.
  • Any conflicts of interest must be declared.
  • Plagiarism is strictly prohibited; all submissions are screened for originality.
  • Research involving human or animal subjects must comply with ethical standards and provide appropriate approvals.

6. Peer Review

  • All submissions undergo peer review double-blind
  • Decisions are based on the quality, originality, and relevance of the manuscript.
  • Authors will receive reviewer comments and may be asked to revise the manuscript before final acceptance.
