About the Journal

The MU-Journal of Political Science and Strategic Studies (MU-JPSSS) is dedicated to advancing scholarly discourse in the fields of political science and strategic studies, particularly as they pertain to Africa. The journal aims to publish high-quality research that contributes to the understanding of political dynamics, social issues, and strategic developments within the continent and beyond.

Scope of the Journal

The MU-JPSSS publishes a diverse range of contributions, including scholarly articles, book reviews, communications, discussions, debates, memoriam pieces, proceedings, and research outputs focused on Africa. The journal prioritizes works addressing contemporary issues in East Africa but also welcomes insights into global developments that have direct or indirect implications for the continent.  In light of the current situation in Ethiopia, the editorial team has decided to prioritize on contemporary issues in Ethiopia while still upholding the journal's fundamental goals and its broader scope.
