Advertising Policy
The editorial processes of Branna Journal are conducted with complete independence from commercial advertisers and sponsors. All promotional and sponsored content is distinctly labeled and distinguished from editorial material to preserve the integrity of peer review and publication decision-making. The publisher reserves the rights to reject advertisements that fail to meet the journal’s ethical requirements or that are considered deceptive, unsuitable, or inconsistent with its mission.
Branna maintains strict editorial independence by ensuring that editorial judgments remain entirely separate from commercial interests such as advertising, sponsorships, and promotional initiatives. Its publishing practices are founded on transparency, integrity, and a firm commitment to mitigating conflicts of interest.
Key elements of the policy include:
1 Editorial Independence
o Advertisers and sponsors have no influence over editorial decisions, peer review, acceptance, rejection, or publication of manuscripts.
o Editors retain full responsibility for all editorial content.
2 Clear Separation of Advertising and Content
o Advertising content must be clearly distinguishable from scholarly and editorial content.
o Advertisements are not presented in a way that could imply endorsement by Frontiers, editors, or authors.
3 Advertising Standards
o Advertisements must be lawful, accurate, and not misleading.
o Branna reserves the right to reject, remove, or refuse advertisements that are inappropriate, deceptive, offensive, or inconsistent with its standards
4 No Influence on Publication Decisions
o Acceptance of advertising does not affect manuscript handling, peer review, editorial assessment, or publication outcomes.
o Commercial relationships are managed separately from editorial operations.
o Transparency: Sponsored or promotional material must be clearly identified as such.
